Totapuri mangoes are the commonly grown variety across South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It accounts to 50% of overall mango production in Indi a. Totapuri mangoes are considered to be the most processable variety due to its larger size and smaller seed with higher pulp content. Totapuri concentrates are essentially evaporated pulps to remove excess water content. These concentrates have a higher brix value thereby reducing the costs in packaging and logistics.
